How it all began

Ingrid is the managing director behind reecovid. She shares a combined love for quality design and the environment and sees her products, as the culmination of these passions, in her business.
It was while on maternity leave that Ingrid was inspired to create her own range of stylish, eco-friendly stationery. Unable to find any suitable ‘thank you’ cards after the birth of her daughter Emily in 2008, she set about designing her own.
Ingrid’s next step was to investigate a variety of sustainable printing materials and experimented with the idea of making paper from the fluff wood pulp derived from used disposable nappies.
The source of fluff wood pulp used for making the paper, changed from nappies to manufacturing waste of unused feminine hygiene products. 'Great pad for emergencies' and ‘recycled, not virgin’ went on to form the basis of her eco-woman stationery range.
Unfortunately there were technical problems with the paper, but what has since emerged is reecovid – a stylish and unique selection of stationery, for the modern eco-woman made from 100% recycled PCW (post consumer waste).
The notepads have been developed and the collection will soon expand to include address books, diary organisers and refills.
